Womble Bond Dickinson’s Scot Anderson will be one of two featured speakers for an upcoming Institute for Energy Law (IEL) webinar on October 25. The webinar, titled "Finding Critical Minerals for the Energy Transition" is hosted by IEL's Young Energy Professionals' Practice Committees.

Anderson and Niki Roberts, a Partner at Hogan Lovells, will discuss the current outlook related to supply and demand for battery metals and copper as well as the legal and commercial strategies being used to locate supply in a constrained market, and issues facing the development of future mineral production.

Anderson is the Managing Partner of the Womble Bond Dickinson Denver office. Anderson advises clients on commercial transactions, including the acquisition, divestiture, and financing of natural resource projects.  His decades of experience afford a deep understanding of the extractives industries and their role in the energy transition. He has worked extensively in securing battery metals and critical minerals for client’s manufacturing equipment for the energy transition.
